Holiday Club

Queen Emma Nursery Holiday Club is managed by Queen Emma Primary School and is an additional service to provide quality childcare for Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children, including children not currently attending Queen Emma Primary School.

At Queen Emma Holiday Club we understand that early childhood is a critical development phase. We are dedicated to providing a holistic approach to learning that embraces intellectual growth and emotional, social, and physical development. The caring and enthusiastic staff at the Holiday Club will ensure the children are offered a range of fun activities including arts and crafts, cooking, music and outdoor activities.  Our team are passionate about the quality of service we offer, ensuring the children have the best time possible so that they want to continue to come back.

Opening Times & fee structure

Queen Emma holiday club offers half day sessions 8:00am – 12:30pm or 1:00pm – 5.30pm and a full day session 8:00am – 5:30pm at prices as per below:

*Early Bird fees:

Half Day (8:00 – 12:30 or 1:00 – 5.30)                    £33.00                       

Full Day 8:00 – 5:30 pm                                           £43.00

Thereafter:

Half Day (8:00 – 12:30 or 1:00 – 5.30)                    £35.50                       

Full Day 8:00 – 5:30 pm                                           £45.50

*Early Bird fees – fees offered for a limited time on a first come first served bases.

Christmas Holidays: 22nd December 2025 – 5th January 2026 (limited days will be available due to the festive season)

February Holidays:    16th February, 2026 – 20th February, 2026

Easter Holidays:         30th March, 2026 – 10th April, 2026

May Holidays:            25th May, 2026 – 29th May, 2026

Summer Holidays:     21st July, 2026 – 30th August, 2026


Late Collection

The Club closes at 5.30pm prompt, a late fee of £5.00 per 5 minutes will be payable should this occur, (this lateness fee applies to any session you choose to use for your child/children). Please advise a member of staff as soon as possible if you are going to be late, this will enable our staff to prepare your child and also organise their own late arrival home.  Holiday Club contact number: 01223 714300

Where a phone call has not been received the uncollected child procedure will take effect from 6.15pm.  

Absence      

Please advise the office at the earliest opportunity if your child will not be attending the Club

All fees are due irrelevant of absence, should long term sickness occur please discuss this with Mrs Dargiene at the earliest opportunity.  

Booking amendments/ cancelations

Any amendments and cancelations are free of charge until the Early Bird rate end date. The fees cannot be refunded for any changes occurred after the Early Bird rate end date.

Snacks & meals

All children are required to bring a packed lunch, water bottle and healthy snacks if attending holiday club. Please advise about any existing allergies. 

Collection of children

Children can only be picked up by the parent/carer or emergency contacts with the correct password held on the child’s account. The person collecting the child must know the password and the parent/carer should have notified the Holiday Club in advance. 

Medical information

Please provide any current medical information to allow us to care for your child in the appropriate way. It is the parent’s responsibility to let the club know of any changes in circumstances regarding their child’s health and medication.

No medication can be given to a child unless an agreed protocol has been written and signed by parents and staff.

Accidents and incidents will be recorded and parents will be asked to sign that they have been made aware of the circumstances and the action taken. 

Complaints procedure

It is hoped that parents/carers will not have to complain about any aspect of the service we provide however should the need arise parents will be asked to discuss concerns informally with the nursery staff.   If you feel that your problems have not been solved please formally contact the Head Teacher via her PA.  Finally, if you still have concerns the Head Teacher will inform you of the next steps which are set out in our complaints policy on our website.
