From September 2025, the 15 hours childcare entitlement for working parents of children under 3 years of age will increase to 30 hours, meaning eligible working parents will be able to claim 30 hours of childcare from the term after their child turns 9 months to school age. You can apply for 30 hours of childcare from 1st April but once you have received your code, you will need to reconfirm every 3 months even if you have not yet started using your entitlements.

In order to meet the expectations of the requirements, we have reviewed and revised the timings of the nursery sessions. The requirements state that ‘Children should be able to take up their funded hours in continuous blocks if they wish to, and there should be no artificial breaks in the entitlement hours.’

The artificial break mentioned above is currently the 45 minutes for midday supervision that you are charged for, if your child attends nursery for full days.

Due to these changes, we will be making the following amendments to the structure of the nursery sessions from 1st September 2025.

Please note that if parents are choosing an afternoon session or an all day session they have the option to collect their child at 3.00pm, if they wish to opt out of the additional charge.

Moreover, nursery AM and PM session fees will be as per below for families that are not entitled to enhanced childcare funding.
