Nursery Learning Examples

We ended the half term, with a whole Early Years construction week which the children loved! We were very lucky to have GR8 Tool Hire, very kindly donate us the hire of a Dumper and Digger for the children to see and to sit on. The children were also inspired by CRC Bricklaying who kindly came with a student and teacher to demonstrate how to make an arch. The children were so inspired they then went back into the classroom and laid their own bricks using our very own homemade cement.'

We had a wonderful celebration with parents and friends coming to watch Foxes perform our spring song and chick dance, join in with our craft activities and help us eat the chocolate nests we made!

What a wonderful morning Foxes had at Heathlands Care Home on Tuesday 3rd March to celebrate World Book Day. Our very youngest children were amazing ambassadors for Queen Emma, they were polite and impeccably behaved throughout the visit. The children dressed for the occasion, shared lots of stories with the residents and led them all in a very enthusiastic, action packed version of The Wheels on the Bus! The residents enjoyed it so much, they have asked if we would like to visit again after the Easter holidays.

Nursery and Reception celebrated Lunar New Year by trying Chinese Foods, making lanterns, creating music and creating Chinese Writing and even watched a real Chinese Dragon dance.

Foxes Class has looked at Henri Rousseau's painting of 'Tiger in a Tropical Storm'. Foxes children painted and created their own version of the painting.
