Year 5 Learning
Year 5 immersed themselves in their Ancient Britain topic with a visit to West Stow. We had an exciting morning exploring some reconstructed homes of Anglo-Saxons and in the afternoon, observed some ancient artefacts in the museum.
The children have been using the maths resources to create different numbers in our place value lessons. Even in year 5 it is important to use the resources available. These will always be accessible to the children in their lessons (should they need them).
To kick start our year, Zebra class made the tallest structure they could, out of spaghetti and marshmallows. This enabled us to work on our team building skills and was a lot of fun!
